DENTAL
Professional's Recommendation
- Tooth
Brushing Has To Start When Babies begin To Grow Teeth.
|
|
- Babies'
dental hygiene is often neglected. Pediatric Dentists
believe that tooth brushing has to start when babies begin
to grow teeth. Cleaning babies' teeth with fingertips or
cotton gauze is not sufficient. Parents should use
toothbrushes to clean babies' teeth.
|
|
- According to
a well known Pediatric Dentistry Department Chair, a
little cavity at infancy may result in abnormal chewing,
misaligned teeth, gum disease, and even negative impact on
children's future growth and development. Therefore,
pediatric dental care is really too important to neglect
|
|
- Children
of different ages require different types of dental care.
Nowadays three types of children's toothbrushes are
available on the market: toothbrushes for preschoolers,
school-aged children, and recently younger children, such
as 2-year-olds.
|
|
- The Pediatric
Dentistry Chairperson thinks that tooth brushing
does not only start with 2-year-olds and up. Actually
dental care is all too important even for newborns to
2-year-olds since younger children experience rapid
changes with tooth growth, types of food intake, and more
complex daily activities. Some parents use cotton gauze or
their fingertips to clean their babies' teeth and gum.
However, this does not do as good a job as toothbrushes.
